JUSTINE POPLASKIE
Age 86, went to heaven on July 6 to joinAlex, her beloved husband of 60 years, and her daughter Marsha. She is survived by her children: Kathleen(Thomas)Orlicki, Bernice(Mark)Benedict, Ilene Hooker(Brandon Hamilton), Leonard(Denise)Poplaskie, Mark Poplaskie, and Kevin(Ruth)Allen. Grandmother of Jessica(Matt)Towers, Sarah(Mike)Tereshinsky,; Frank, Megan, Steven, and Julie Poplaskie, and Stuart and Tyler Allen. Visitation Friday 2 to 8 PM with a Rosary recital under the auspices of the St. Louise Seniors at 3:00 PM and a Vigil service at 7:00 PM at the Adragna Obarzanek Funeral Home, 33250 Ryan (North of 14 Mile). Funeral Saturday, instate at 11:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:30 AM at St. Louise Catholic Church, 2500 Twelve Mile Rd., Warren. The family would also like to thank devoted caregiver Debbie Harper, and also Ashley and Krista of Comfort Keepers, as well as the caring staff at Heartland Oakland who provided support and comfort to our mother.

My second Mom. It's still hard to think of her as "Justine" ... she's Bernice's Mom ... Mrs. Poplaskie! I think she's happy now that she's out of pain and back with her Alex ... in my mind I still see her in an apron and in the backyard on Kennebec ... or singing in the choir loft at OLGC. Or giving Bernice and I a talking to ... or keeping an eye on us out the front picture window while we were at 6 Mile Park ... I don't think we really ever put anything over on her OR Alex! My dear Bernice and all the Poplaskie family, second to my family, you have been my family for 42 years. Talk about memories.....Although I couldn't be with you physically, you know I've with you in spirit. Mom is with everybody else now, in the loving embrace of God. The light of God surrounds us, the love of God enfolds us, the power of God protects us, the presence of God watches over us. Wherever we are, God is! I love all of you soooo much.
